Should we colonize mars Or Take care of planet earth, live and die on it?

Mars colonization? Yeah, you heard it right!

It has created quite a buzz over the years and it all started when the busiest man on planet earth started a space company just to know the possibilities of transportation to the red planet by saying that he doesn’t want to die here.

The possible reasons for the ideas of colonizing mars was curiosity of human minds, increase in population on earth and decrease in the resources and of course the interest on the resources of mars.

Even though we are so curious about it, some of us raised queries as to why we should colonize Mars instead of repairing the very planet we were living on, for billions of years?, why spend huge amounts of money and human resources on things which would take generations to achieve and some  even asked why spend on that while many of the humans are sleeping with empty stomachs in streets.

Let’s talk,

We could spend those millions and billions for the betterment of people all around the world, improve educational standards of students, and just abolish poverty with it. We could invent/discover new eco-friendly alternatives to the things which harm earth. We can spend those on R&D’s which focus on making earth a better place to live and those who develop “gadgets” which will help humans at work.

We could  even find better ways to reuse energy or we can use them to find a way to prevent future pandemics right?

Sounds good right?

I mean there will be a drastic change in people’s life, future generations with respect to resources.

But, (Yeah, there is always a ‘but’)

What if it was too late to invest in these things?

I mean, What if this big moving rock in space and time loses its ability to support life anymore? I didn’t say that it’s going to happen for sure but we still don’t have an answer for how and why things happen in the way they are and we don’t know what is waiting out there to visit us with surprise.

With the ongoing pandemic and the release of videos of Unidentified flying objects around us, climate change, global warming, pollution, and decrease in fuels. We should be prepared for everything.

But we know space is really expensive, So what to do?

The point is, we should have more skilled people on strategic resource management who can really allocate the proper resources for each of the programs happening around the country and based on the other parameters the resources and funds should be allocated for the space exploration and development.

With the resources, we can develop the possible space explorations and find alternative ways to compensate the insufficient funds.

It can be a very long process with many theories that stating mars is not a habitable place and it cannot be transformed into one, and some are determined strong enough that they propose to nuke the poles of mars. We don’t know what we will find but when we find that it will be one of the greatest findings of the human race. The curiosity will drive us even further.

In summary, my opinion on this is, we should focus on things at hand the most and the plan for the future should be prioritized next to it. And I think of Mars as a pit stop and not a destination itself. We should not only evolve as an interplanetary species but an intergalaxy species so that the human race doesn’t end (at least on earth).

Einstein was not alive to see the world create great things but his imagination took him where others can’t. Likewise our generation may not live upto colonization mars but with our imagination we can create not only one but maximum number of steps as we could for the future generations to come!

“We can either live on earth and die or we can live long enough to see human race become an interplanetary species”
