Have you ever wondered about the vehicles used to travel in the future? The car consumers are changing to electric vehicles as this modern world is changing to renewable energies. Many car manufacturers started manufacturing electric cars and there’s already a giant in an industry making electric trucks too. While all started to make electric cars a reputed car manufacturer Toyota too started making, but in a different way, the pod that they make can be used for delivering a product, a science lab, a mobile hotel, shopping mall, ride sharing, a lounge, and as a restaurant too. Amazed right? It is a fully autonomous electric vehicle (pod) with a simplest design ever, it’s simply a rectangular box with eight wheels. The interior can be equipped with seats, screens, and products. The company says it will be very useful to the society and the companies by putting their company into this vehicle and sending it to remote places. All the customer needs to do is that he wants to select the product he wants in online and go to the place he chooses to buy at the specified time. All cannot be done only by Toyota alone, with Amazon, Uber, Mazda, Pizza Hut and Didi Chuxing as these companies are well in their domain, for instance, Uber the king of ride sharing, Pizza hut can use this for delivery, Amazon the king of e-commerce can use this for selling their products and more. Toyota is planning to build it in three different sizes small, medium and large. The main plan of Toyota is to build the pods and sell it to the companies mentioned above so that they could customize it according to their use. The challenges are with batteries to use. Well, maybe Tesla can help. But, Toyota is working on flatter, high-density batteries with Panasonic. Toyota announced that the pod will hit the roads at Olympics 2020.
